Edible Architecture

We're having Gingerbread Council Houses by Shai Akram! Almost too clever and fabulous to eat...

“The tradition of building ginger bread houses sums up the things we love about Christmas-time, cooking, building, decorating, sharing and eating. But something about them doesn’t fit, we live in a city, we love living here - Bavarian farmhouses don’t really have anything to do with us or our friends.
We decided to use gingerbread to make buildings and decorations that reference our world. These are not sweet souvenirs, they are cake models of our own experiences, the buildings we live in and enjoy, and the things that make us feel at home.”

Go see the other wonderful things she's done on her website.
